Principle agreement to sign El Hadji Ba

The FCSM and El Hadji Ba have reached an agreement in principle for a contract of two seasons. The 24-year-old midfielder, former French international U20, will officially commit himself after satisfying the usual medical visit he will make this Friday, July 7th.

Born on 5 March 1993 in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, El Hadji Ba grew up in Aulnay-Sous-Bois, where he started before joining the Le Havre AC training center in 2007. The attacking midfielder of Senegalese origin Started with the Le Havre reserve at only 17, then in Ligue 2 a year later, at the reception of EA Guingamp on February 24, 2012.

In the summer of 2012, the one with 19 capes in France teams is playing the U19 European Championship with the Bleuets. He plays until the semi-finals in a team that counts in his ranks Paul Pogba, with whom he rubbed shoulders with the HAC. He has 19 teams in France U18, U19 and U20.

El Hadji Ba plays 12 league matches in 2012/2013 with the Havre club, scoring a goal. His performances have earned him a commitment to Sunderland AFC at the end of his contract. He scored for his FA Cup debut and played a Premier League match with the Black Cats.

Lent to SC Bastia in the summer of 2014 in order to save playing time, El Hadji Ba made a good start to the season with seven regulars in the first nine days of Ligue 1 before being stopped by a fracture of the fibula. Ba, hired by Charlton Athletic on his return from Corsica, is playing 25 Championship matches in 2015/2016.

Released from his contract with the English club on 1 February 2017, he signed on 6 March to the Norwegian Stabæk Fotball club (which FCSM met in the UEFA Cup in 2004), where he played 10 matches.
