José Manuel Aira new head coach of the FCSM



José Manuel Aira is the new FCSM coach. The 42-year-old Spaniard, who holds the UEFA pro license, is officially appointed on this 22th of May.

José Manuel Aira Lindoso was born on March 14, 1976 in Ponferrada, Castilla y León. At the age of 19, he joined RC Deportivo La Coruña and played two Liga matches on “Super Dépor”, a benchmark in Spain and shining in Europe with Bebeto, Mauro Silva, Djalminha, Fran or Rivaldo.

From 1999, he is loaned, notably to the Racing Club Ferrol. A club that José Manuel Aira found twice before starting his coaching career. Successfully since he leads the Galician club to promotion in 2013. The following season, he reaches the play-offs of accession to the elite.

Having joined Real Murcia in 2014, José Manuel Aira also plays the play-offs twice. With Albacete Balompié he rallied in 2016, he is Division 2B champion.

Aira, who left Albacete last season, took charge of NK Rudeš on March 12, 2018. The Croatian club owned by Baskonia Alavés won under his leadership his stay in the Croatian elite, winning 6 of his Last 10 games under the thumb of his Spanish coach while posting the best ball possession of the championship.

José Manuel Aira, who will be officially presented next week, has signed for two seasons with the FCSM.
