The Sochaliens suffered in the opening minutes but just as they seem to have found the answer on PSG's domination, they swallowed a lethal counter of the visitors as Gameiro pulled the trigger. The game was more in balance in the second half but the Jaune and Bleu could change the score.

The Sochaliens took only one point out of their last three games an urge to take some out of their last three matches before the winterbreak. The more there their concurrents manage to climb in the league tabe and have closed the gap. The relegation zone is now only four points away for the Jaune and Bleu. Can they repeat the same kind of performance as they did against Lyon, Lille and Marseille? Tonight's opponent PSG are not in the best form over the last weeks but they remain one of the biggest candidates for the 2012 Ligue 1 title. The defence of FCSM seems to be jinxed as four of its elements (Damien Perquis, Steven Mouyokolo, Jérémie Bréchet and Carlão) are injured and one (Mathieu Peybernes) suspended. Jérémie Bréchet suffered too much after his unexpected come-back last week when he replaces Carlão after only five minutes of play. The Brazilian has a hamstring injury and is still out for a few weeks. So the technical staff had to compose a total new and unexperienced defence as they put Loïc Poujol, a defensive midfielder, together in the defensive heart with youth product Lionel Zouma, who only has made 3 appearances in Ligue 1. Luckily enough Kévin Anin is back in midfield. It will be a hard job though against one of the most powerful striking forces of Ligue 1. Paris Saint-Germain play with their striker Kévin Gameiro who's helped by the individual class of Jérémy Ménez, Javier Pastore and Nene. Kévin Gameiro opens the score as PSG dominate The match is only few minutes old as Kévin Gameiro gets the first attempt of the match. The FCSM defence is out of position as Javier Pastore sends Gameiro all alone in front of Teddy Richert but the goalie can turn the striker's effort. The Parisiens dominate in the opening minutes but their goalie Salvatore Sirigu is lucky not to make an own goal as, out of his area, hits his own defender and the ball bounces in direction of his cage. Then Pastore gets twice the chance to beat Teddy Richert. On the midfielder's first occasion the goalie comes out of his goal and keeps his eyes on the ball while he boxes the ball away minutes after when the Argentinian fires on goal. The home side react by their ace Marvin Martin. The French international's beatiful placed shot can just be fingertipped over his bar by Sirigu. FCSM get two corners in a row and seem to be freed of the pressure of PSG. Right on that moment the visitors counter to the other end and it's Kevin Gameiro who finishes lethally and individual action. He manages to keep possession in front of Loïc Poujol and hits home from a difficult angle : 0-1. Vincent Nogueira tries to equalize but his long distance attempt isn't on target. The PSG striking force demonstrate all their qualities but are stopped by the last line or by Teddy Richert. Former FCSM youth product Jérémy Ménez tries with a curved shot to put in the second goal but the FCSM custodian is alert. Better FCSM unable to change the score At the start of the second half Cedric Bakambu is replaced by powerhouse Modibo Maïga. The striker still has some knee problems but is fit enough to play 45 minutes. The injury of Marvin Martin, four minutes into this second period wasn't foreseen and Sébastien Roudet takes his place in central midfield. Jérémy Ménez creates the first occasion but he's stopped by Teddy Richert. Gameiro's missile is then too high to frighten the Sochaliens. The home side has gained more stability with Maïga upfront but the Parisiens remain dangerous on the counter attack. Sébastien Roudet with a header obliges Sirigu to intervent but it's all too little to have sight on a draw. The Sochaliens still have two games before Christmas, away against Girondins de Bordeaux and at home against AC Ajaccio, to give themselves a breath of air and to join the midtable insted of flirting with the relegation zone. Mecha Bazdarevic : "I'm a bit frustrated there we didn't bring the
match we wanted to play. We needed to bring more to hope on a better result.
PSG brought us into difficulties during the first 15 minutes, but then we
replied them equally. We played well until 30 meters of their goal, we lacked
a bit of aggression then but I can't blame my players for anything."
Sébastien Corchia : "We're beaten by a very good PSG side who caused
a lot of trouble to us in the first minutes. We were better in the second
half but unable to equalize. A pity cause who could have hurt them." Vincent Nogueira : "We gave a lot but in the end we have no points. PSG are offensively very strong. We demonstrated better our style of play in the second half but we created too less clearcut chances." Antoine Kombouaré : "It's a win that gives a lot of satisfaction. It was a long time ago that we kept a clean sheet. This confirms our win of last week against Auxerre. We could have scored one moreat the start of the second half but in the end we could keep this result with the help of all of us, as a collective."
