The new Stade Bonal has been officially inaugurated on July 22nd, 2000 when FC Nantes played AS Monaco for the so called Trophée des Champions, the French Super Cup. Before the match, the afternoon started with a game between ‘oldies’ ; ancient players of FC Sochaux-Montbéliard. After two years of work, the old Stade Bonal has been completely reconstructed.
